Abstract

IT-dependent businesses had been through generations of defense-in-depth solutions and a variety of maturity models for IT SOC in the last 2 decades. OT-dependent businesses not only lack the defense-in-depth but also other known/unknown variables make it difficult when mapping for the OT SOC journey is envisaged with the maturity attained in the IT security arena. On the contrary, the adoption speed of Digital Technologies in OT/ICS-dependent businesses pushes the teams for jumpstart solutions.

This talk will focus on enumerating the real challenges, navigating through them, and introducing tools, templates, and methodology to help the audience to see through the dawn of OT SOC based on the experience of setting up OT SOC in manufacturing, O&G, and Power Distribution. It will be a vendor-neutral discussion and no OEM solution will be shared, but only the tools, methodology, and templates to take back home after the session.
